Duty Types
The classification of club duties — line management, retriever crew, instructor — with the rate that determines how duty hours are compensated.
What it is
Duty types with attached rewards — for example office work, manual work, or AFIS service.
Each type has a reward method — either “per minute” (the credit is duty minutes × rate) or “flat” (a fixed amount per duty). The rate is versioned by effective date: an initial rate is entered when the type is created, and further rates are added with the date from which they apply. The reward method (per minute / flat) is set at creation and cannot be changed later; for an existing type you can edit the name and description and add new rates. A new type is added at /duty-types/new. The same page also manages the tags that can be assigned to duties.

How to use it
- Define your types — create each type your club rosters (line management, retriever crew, instructor, …).
- Add a new type — use
/duty-types/newto add one. - Set the rate — choose the reward method (per minute or flat) and enter an initial rate; further rates are added with an effective date.
- Manage tags — tags are created and managed on the same page.
- Roster duties — duties are rostered by type.
- Compensate duty hours — the type’s rate determines the credit a member receives when a duty is approved.
