Duty Types
The classifications of club duties and shifts — line management, retriever crew, instructor — used to roster and bill duties.
What it is
Duty Types define the kinds of club duties and shifts members can be rostered onto — for example line management, retriever (fetch) crew, or instructor. Running a flying day depends on people taking on these roles, and this is where you describe the set of duties your club uses.
Each duty type is a structured entry, so it does more than name a shift: duties recorded against a type can be rostered consistently and billed or compensated according to the type. Tagging of duties is also managed here, letting you group related duties together. You can add a new duty type at /duty-types/new.

How to use it
- Define your duties — create each duty type your club rosters (line management, retriever crew, instructor, …).
- Add a new type — use
/duty-types/newto add one. - Manage tags here — group related duties with tags from the same page.
- Roster consistently — assign duties against a type so shifts are recorded uniformly.
- Bill duties — let the type drive how a duty is compensated or charged.
