Aircraft
The fleet inventory — registration, type and category, maintenance components with check thresholds, and airworthiness status.
What it is
Aircraft is your fleet inventory — every machine the club operates, in one register. Each aircraft has a registration, a type and category that place it in the fleet, and an airworthiness status that tells you at a glance whether it’s cleared to fly.
The register also tracks each aircraft’s maintenance components together with their check thresholds, so you can see what’s due before a limit is reached rather than after. Type and category aren’t just labels: they’re what pricing and other rules match against, which is why the system keeps them tied to stable identities even when names change. Open any aircraft to dig into its full detail, including components and status.

How to use it
- Register an aircraft — add a new machine to the fleet at
/aircraft/new. - Open an aircraft — view its full detail, components, and airworthiness status on its page.

- Assign type and category — set or change an aircraft’s type and category at
/aircraft/[id]/category. - Watch maintenance components — keep an eye on check thresholds so work is scheduled before limits are hit.
