Reservations
A shared overview of fleet reservations; members reserve aircraft.
What it is
Reservations is a shared overview of the club fleet’s bookings. Members reserve aircraft, and staff get a view of reservations across the whole club.
Reservations are shown as a list (a table) sorted by start time — with a start and end time, the aircraft, the member, and a note. They can be filtered by aircraft and time range, and cancelled ones can optionally be shown too. When a reservation is created, the system checks for overlap with other reservations of the same aircraft, preventing double-bookings.
How to use it
- Create a reservation — reserve an aircraft for a slot at
/reservations/new; choose the aircraft, the start and end time, and an optional note.
- See fleet utilisation — the list shows what is reserved across the club; the default view starts from today.
- Filter reservations — narrow the list by a specific aircraft and time range, and optionally show cancelled reservations too.
- Cancel a reservation — an active future reservation can be cancelled with an optional reason; the cancellation is retained for the audit trail.
